IAS Study Material

To prepare for IAS the students must be aware of the IAS study material. There are a lot of study materials and books available for the preparation but one should select judiciously which book is to be studied and which to be avoided. With changing trend in IAS paper, the importance of conventional books has decreased significantly, however, to clear the basics such books are indispensible. An aspirant must kick start his preparation by studying NCERTS of social sciences. They help in developing basic concepts and sometimes even direct questions are asked especially in the Prelims. Study material of a good IAS coaching institute like S.N.M. IAS study group can be utilized to complement NCERT books. Some of the higher level concepts are complied in such study material. An aspirant need not read a lot of books for conventional material unlike in the past. Newspapers, Magazines like Yojna, Kurukshetra, Economic and Political weekly almost offer the some if not more than the books.
