Watching MTV Beats and VH

Today, MTV is being branded as a youth channel. And why wouldn’t it be? MTV airs a variety of shows, ranging from reality TV to teen dramas. But, in order to maintain its original brand identity of a music channel, Viacom 18 introduced a separate channel MTV Beats. This was a good decision as today, both MTV and MTV Beats are quite popular among viewers.It is an undeniable fact that Bollywood numbers are the dominantly popular music genre in India and most music channels in India are dedicated to Hindi movie songs. However, this does not mean that Indians do not listen to English music. In fact, English music is the most popular of all English entertainment genres in India. Keeping this in mind, Viacom 18 came up with the Vh1 channel in India which gained immense popularity among Indian youth.
